Learn what makes this Japanese art style so unique and have fun creating cool characters. For ages 12-18 only. All experience levels welcome! Supplies and refreshments will be provided. Come to El Sobrante Library for an all-ages family event on April 18th at 11am featuring performances of Balinese Dance and Music by Gamelan Sekar Jaya. Gamelan Sekar Jaya, based in Berkeley, fosters artistic exchange between Bali and the United States through performances and education. Come be dazzled by the performing arts of Bali and enjoy a dance lesson following the performance.

Come to El Sobrante Library on Thursday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m. for a viewing party of Raising a Confident Reader; a virtual workshop designed for parents and caregivers to support school-aged children facing literacy challenges. The session will cover practical activities caregivers can use to enhance literacy skills at home, important questions to ask their child’s school, and common reasons children may struggle with reading. This viewing party is co-sponsored by Project Second Chance.

Light refreshments will be available for participants, while they last.
