🎨 Pop Art is popping at Caze!

Our 5th grade artists are learning that art is about much more than creating something beautiful! Students explored Pop Art and its influence on consumer beliefs and society, then applied their learning by creating their own Pop Art fruit pieces.

Along the way, they practiced measurement, spatial reasoning, repetition, color theory, and artistic decision-making to turn one piece of fruit into four unique works of art.

Literacy + Creativity + Connection in our Cougar Enrichment Lab!

Students took literacy beyond the page after reading Arnie the Doughnut! They practiced comprehension, character development, speaking, and writing as they designed their own doughnut characters, gave them names, and described the unique qualities that made each one special.

Mr. Adams’ Cougar Enrichment Lab intentionally blends academic skills with social-emotional learning, giving students opportunities to think creatively, express ideas, build confidence, and celebrate what makes each person unique.

Hard work pays off… and sometimes it earns you a visit from the UFLI Unicorn! 🦄

Mrs. Hollinger’s Walk to Read group showed some awesome achievement on their UFLI assessment this past week, so they earned a visit from a special visitor today. And yes… Mrs. Renfrow will do just about anything for reading growth (especially if it includes dressing up as a unicorn)!

At Caze, we believe in giving every student exactly what they need to grow and excel. Through strong, explicit phonics instruction and targeted Walk to Read groups, our students are building the foundational skills that create confident, successful readers.

We are so proud of these Little Cougars for putting in the work and showing what they know! 💚📖

It’s Coordinators Appreciation Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without celebrating our incredible Community Learning Center Coordinator, Miss Ashanti!

Miss Ashanti does SO much for Caze. From creating meaningful programs and experiences for our students, to building strong community partnerships, supporting families, and simply knowing and loving our kids—her impact reaches every corner of our school.

She brings creativity, energy, and a true heart for our Caze community to everything she does. We are incredibly thankful to have her as part of One Team. One Goal.

🎨 Learning Through Art!

Our 3rd graders were fully engaged in art as they created close-up pumpkins and webs using a variety of materials and techniques! Students focused on important art concepts including line, pattern, spacing, contrast, and outlining while following a multi-step process to bring their designs to life.

We love seeing students apply academic vocabulary, follow a process, and make creative choices along the way. Art is learning in action!
