Happy 812 Day, Evansville!

This morning, we were proud to announce $500,000 in Forward Together GO Grants for 35 organizations addressing some of Evansville’s greatest opportunities, including youth development, affordable housing, neighborhood revitalization, education, public health, arts and culture, and family services.

Funded through the City’s ARPA interest funds, this year’s grants bring the City’s total investment to $1.5 million in support of local nonprofits and neighborhood impact over the past three years.

We’re proud to partner with these organizations as we work together to move Evansville forward.

We're excited to share that the Regional Transit Feasibility Study survey is now live!

In collaboration with the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization (EMPO), the City of Henderson, Vanderburgh County, and Warrick County, we're exploring opportunities to improve transit service and efficiency across the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Area, including:

Metropolitan Evansville Transit System (METS)
Henderson Area Rapid Transit (HART)
Warrick Area Transit System (WATS)

Your feedback will help shape the future of regional public transportation. The survey is open through August 31, and we encourage everyone to participate.

As the new school year approaches, school zone flashers are being activated one week prior to each school's start date. Some flashers are already operating, and additional school zones will begin flashing as their start dates get closer.

Activating the flashers early allows our technicians to identify and resolve any system issues before school begins while also reminding motorists that school season is here.
