For generations, the Millicent Library has been a place where children discover stories, imagination, and a love of reading.

This photo from 1945 captures just one moment in that long history.

Today, we’re working to ensure this space remains comfortable, welcoming, and protected for the next generation. Our HVAC upgrade will help preserve the building, safeguard our collections, and create a better environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Please consider supporting this important project: https://givebutter.com/MillicentLibrary

It’s hot in here during the summer—and we’re working to change that. We’re raising funds to install air conditioning, so we can retire the paper fans for good. Until then, for each donation we’ll write your name on a paper fan and display it in the library window in your honor.
