🏈 Polar Bear Nation - if Clarksburg is on your schedule tonight, here’s what you need to know before heading to Robert C. Byrd.

A few important game-night reminders for those making the trip:

🔹 Per Harrison County Schools policy, elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult.

🅿️ Due to ongoing construction, parking will be more limited than usual. Parking is not permitted behind the school or along the road near the pond. Please arrive early and allow additional time when entering and leaving campus.

🅿️ Four Harrison County Sheriff’s deputies will be assisting with parking from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

🅿️ Carpooling is strongly encouraged when possible.

🎟️ ADMISSION: $8 - CASH ONLY AT THE GATE

Harrison County students and senior citizens receive free admission through the Harrison County levy. Students enrolled in Marion County Schools will be required to pay admission, as this is an out-of-county event.

Fairmont Senior (0-1) at Robert C. Byrd (1-0), Thursday, Sept. 3, 7 p.m.

Fairmont Senior enters Week 2 in (un)familiar territory, after they got blown out in their opening contest 49-3. Now, they need a win in the worst way to get right in the second week of the season.

They’ll have the opportunity to do so, but they’ll have to do it on a short turnaround. The Polar Bears will travel to face Robert C. Byrd on Thursday night, in a game which will probably be a bit extra personal for all the players involved. The Polar Bears knocked the Eagles off in Week 1 last season, but then had the favor returned in the opening round of the playoffs. Now, it’s time for a rubber match for those returning from last season’s teams.

“We will review the film and get back to work on Monday,” head coach Mark Sampson said following the difficult opening loss.
