It’s our final morning here at Southern Command and after one last trip up the hill this morning, we’ll pack up, ship out and head back to our home base in Fairmont.

Thank you again for all of the tremendous support you’ve shown the Busy Bee Band & Honeybees during our time at Camp Caesar. We’ve accomplished a lot this week, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on!

Our first football game at East-West Stadium is Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 pm. We hope to see you there — or at one of our performances this fall. See you back home!

And they did it again! The Sousaphones held off a last minute challenge from the Percussion, Honeybees and Trumpets to win the 2nd Battle of Band Camp!

But the victory belongs to the entire Busy Bee Band & Honeybees. This year’s Battle closes with an incredible $22,934 raised, just surpassing last year’s total. Thank you to the nearly 200 individuals who donated and everyone who shared our posts and followed us along our time at Camp Caesar. Your support of our program has been nothing short of remarkable. For those who donated, you will be receiving receipts in the next week via email.

Congratulations to the Sousaphones - breakfast is yours. And congratulations to all eight sections for making the 2026 Battle of Band Camp unforgettable! One more time up the hill this evening, then it’s time to dance. We’ll be returning to Fairmont and our first show will be August 27th.

A little post-breakfast parade up the hill for the band this morning. We’re closing in on the end of Camp and we’re closing in on the end of our Battle.

The final leaderboard will be posted this evening for the dance, with donation cutoff at 5:00 pm. It is neck-and-neck between the Honeybees, Sousaphones and Trumpets. And, overall, we’re just a shade under $20,000. If you’re interested in making a donation, get it in before 5:00 pm and support your section. Thank you for your support!
