๐งตโจ We're excited to welcome Eva from the WVU Marion County Extension Service Office to our senior centers this September for a fascinating presentation on Crazy Quilts!
Crazy quilts are one-of-a-kind treasures that represent a historically significant style of quilt making that became popular during the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th century. With the introduction of new fabrics, decorative threads, embellishments, and sophisticated embroidery techniques, this unique art form has remained a beloved tradition among quilters.
During this engaging program, you'll learn how crazy quilts came to be, their connection to our Appalachian heritage, and you'll even have the opportunity to see a 100-year-old crazy quilt that was completely hand-stitched and quilted!
