🚨 REMINDER: DON’T FORGET THE ! 🚨

Recently, we have seen an increase in thefts from motor vehicles during the overnight hours. Most, if not all, of the vehicles targeted have been left unlocked.

A simple way to help avoid becoming a victim is to make the part of your nightly routine:

🔒 LOCK UP — Vehicles, doors, windows, garages, gates, and sheds
💡 TURN ON — Exterior lights, security cameras, and alarm systems
🎒 BRING IN — Valuables from your vehicle, yard, or patio

Taking a few minutes each night can make a big difference.

👀 See something suspicious? Say something. Please report suspicious activity immediately by calling 911.

🚲 LOST OR STOLEN BICYCLES – RIDLEY TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT 🚲

Over the past year, the Ridley Township Police Department has accumulated a number of bicycles that have been lost, stolen, recovered, or found throughout the Township.

If you have lost a bicycle or have been the victim of a bicycle theft, we encourage you to contact or stop by the police station to see if your bicycle may have been recovered.

Anyone attempting to claim a bicycle should bring proof of ownership or any information that can help identify the bicycle, such as photographs, serial numbers, receipts, or a detailed description.

You may also call the Ridley Township Police Department and ask to speak with Lt. Smith to make arrangements to identify and claim your bicycle.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Retired Captain Scott Willoughby. Captain Willoughby served the Ridley Township Police Department for 31 years, dedicating his life to public service. He was a lifelong Ridley Township resident who loved and served his community. We would like to thank Captain Willoughby for his dedicated service and lifelong commitment. We would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends. Rest easy, brother.

Attention Residents. Today at 4:57 p.m., there was a false report of a shooting victim on Willard Drive in the Ridley Park section of Ridley Township. The call was found to be a "swatting call" and there was no emergency and no victim. The call was found to be fraudulent. There is no immediate threat to the public.
