Book group today discussed George Takei's graphic novel, They Called Us Enemy. It is his story of being interned along with his family during World War 2. The family lost their jobs, home, bank accounts and freedom for the duration of the war, forced to register as "enemy aliens," simply because they were Japanese Americans. Takei went on to play the cool-headed Lieutenant Sulu on ✨️ Star Trek.
