The 3rd Infantry Division is proud to welcome home more Soldiers from the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade following their deployment to Europe in support of U.S. Army and NATO operations. Throughout their deployment, these Soldiers provided critical aviation capabilities, strengthened partnerships with allied nations, and demonstrated the professionalism, readiness, and commitment that define the Marne Division.

Today, we celebrate their safe return to Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, where families, friends, and fellow Soldiers can once again be reunited with their loved ones.

Welcome home, Dogface Soldiers. Thank you for your sacrifice, dedication, and service. The Rock of the Marne is stronger because of you.

Weeks into a demanding rotation at the National Training Center, Dogface Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division continue to prove their readiness in one of the Army’s toughest training environments. 🏜️🐶

Operating around the clock across the Mojave Desert, Soldiers have faced complex battlefield scenarios that test their ability to maneuver, communicate, sustain operations, and make decisions under pressure. As the rotation progresses, units are integrating some of the Army’s most advanced technologies and innovative capabilities, refining how they fight and win on the modern battlefield.

From utilizing emerging systems to adapting to rapidly changing conditions, the division is embracing innovation while strengthening the fundamentals that have defined the Rock of the Marne for more than a century.

Every mission, every challenge, and every lesson learned at NTC helps ensure the 3rd Infantry Division remains ready to answer the nation's call whenever and wherever it comes.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marne Rockstar Melinda Schneider. Through her dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the Soldiers, Families, and community of the 3rd Infantry Division, Melinda left an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her passion for serving others, uplifting those around her, and supporting the Marne community will never be forgotten. While her absence will be deeply felt, her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew and loved her. Please keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Melinda. Thank you for everything you gave to the Marne Family. Your impact will be felt for generations to come.

Gate 1 will temporarily close from 6:30 p.m. on June 18 through 5 a.m. on June 20 for the installation of an Active Vehicle Barrier. To mitigate traffic impact and preserve continuous access to the installation and Winn Army Community Hospital, Britt Gate (Gate #3) and Barkley Gate (Gate #8) will operate 24/7 during this 36-hour window. Visitors requiring installation access passes can obtain them directly at either Britt or Barkley gates. Plan your routes in advance and allow for extra travel time.

Training at the National Training Center is well underway as Dogface Soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division take on realistic combat scenarios designed to test their skills, leadership, and readiness in a complex battlefield environment.

Throughout the rotation, Soldiers are integrating some of the Army’s most modern innovations into their training, leveraging emerging technologies and evolving tactics to increase battlefield effectiveness and prepare for the future fight. From maneuver operations to sustainment missions, every challenge is an opportunity to refine capabilities and strengthen readiness.

NTC provides one of the most demanding training environments in the world, pushing units to adapt, innovate, and overcome. The Dogface Soldiers continue to demonstrate why the 3rd Infantry Division remains at the forefront of building the Army of the future.
