Are you curious about setting financial goals? Not sure how to start?

Join the conversation at the Freedom Public Library!

In collaboration with Thrivent and Starting Point, we are hosting a Financial Independence Discussion on Tuesday, March 31 at 5:00pm.

This program will explore the importance of building strong financial habits that support long-term independence: budgeting, debt reduction, saving, and investing.

The discussion will be complemented through a presentation by Sarah Groleau of The Groleau Financial Group/Thrivent. We will touch on the wealth gap experienced by women and the broader implications for financial security.

A suggested reading list is available at the library or by emailing [email protected].

All are welcome, in person or via zoom.

The Freedom Public Library, the Freedom Historical and the Effingham Historical Society, are partnering to present a special community screening and discussion of “The Spirit of Service,” a 30-minute excerpt from The American Revolution, the acclaimed documentary by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt on Saturday, March 21.

The event will take place at Town Hall (16 Elm Street, Freedom, NH) at 3:00 PM, with light refreshments served following the program.

Made possible with support from PBS and WETA, "The Spirit of Service" explores the vital roles played by colonists during the American Revolution, highlighting acts of service beyond military participation.

The program will include a facilitated discussion led by Dr. John Mackey, Master Lecturer in Social Sciences at Boston University. Dr. Mackey will provide historical context and respond to audience-generated questions about the American Revolution.

The public is warmly invited to attend.

Hello to the patrons of the FPL,

This is Molly, Library Director, and I am writing to share that I am stepping down from my role at the Freedom Public Library, as I have accepted an exciting new position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This opportunity will allow me to live closer to my family.

It has been a privilege to serve this community and to work alongside such dedicated staff, trustees, volunteers, and patrons. I am grateful for the support and kindness I have experienced during my short time at the library.

Thank you for being such an important part of my time here. I wish the library and the community all the very best moving forward.

With appreciation,
Molly Foye
