Sandusky County Soil & Water Conservation District Established in 1948, Sandusky County Soil & Water Conservation District was formed as the 62nd conservation district in Ohio.

The district serves as a liaison between private landowners and federal agencies.

Thank you to everyone who has RSVP'd for our upcoming Mud Hens game! We're excited to announce that we have officially reached capacity!

If you have reserved tickets but are no longer able to attend, please contact our office at 419-334-6324 as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer those tickets to individuals on our waiting list.

With our "Dandy Dragonflies (& Damselflies)" program, learn about the fast flying insects that can be found right here in our county and their importance to our environment!

"PokéCon" is a conservation library series aimed at discussing parallels between numerous fictional Pokémon and real life wildlife! Whether you're a young or veteran Pokémon fan or just love animals, you'll be able to learn a plethora of fun facts about the fantastic animals that roam our planet and how to promote their conservation and preservation! This will be our final presentation and it will cover "Dragon Type" Pokémon and their real life counterparts!

With wheat harvest well under way, we've been getting questions in regards to minimum seeding rates for H2Ohio cover crops. Below is the seeding rate requirements by species. Also, don't forget to adjust your rates based on your germination and purity on your seed tag/analysis.

Remember to plant your seed by November 1st OR by November 15th if you increase your seeding rates by 20%.
