City Hall Parking – Starting Tomorrow
Fremont, a quick heads up before tomorrow hits:

A contractor will be working at City Hall, which means some parking areas will be temporarily closed while they get the job done. We’ll keep things open as much as safely possible, but expect a few tight spots here and there.

Water Office customers:

The drive thru may have occasional interruptions depending on where the contractor is working. If the lane is blocked, no worries — staff will still be ready to help you inside.

We’ll keep you posted as the project moves along. Thanks for rolling with us while we get this work knocked out for the community.

Traffic Safety Update – Front St. & Ewing St. From: Kenneth Frost, Safety Service Director / Occasional Stop Sign Hype Man

The City of Fremont has installed new stop signs on Front Street at Ewing following a recommendation from the Traffic Safety Committee. One of the biggest factors in this decision is the increased number of children crossing the roadway for the new charter school located at that corner.

These signs are there to keep our kids safe, improve visibility, and help calm traffic in an area that’s gotten a lot busier very quickly.

Please take a moment to adjust your driving habits in that area. Yes, I know—nobody wakes up excited to meet a new stop sign. But this one is doing important work, and we’d all appreciate giving it the respect it deserves.

Thanks for helping keep Fremont safe and moving in the right direction.
