If you enjoy the outdoors in the Granite State, you are at greater risk of encountering a tick and contracting a tick-borne illness, like Lyme disease. Now there is a way to know quickly if the tick that bit you, a loved one, or your pet has disease-causing pathogens. Tick testing from the University of New Hampshire is now available to the public through UNH Extension. This service can alert you to the presence of a pathogen in a tick in as little as three days. It is information that helps you and your doctor or pet's veterinarian decide if treatment is needed. See the first comment below on how to learn more!
