A healthy community builds a strong local workforce and economy! 🩺💙

Here is what you need to know about the upcoming Health Care Services Millage for Genesee County:

The millage provides essential funding for the Genesee Health Plan (GHP), delivering basic, affordable healthcare coverage to Genesee County residents age 19 and older. This coverage includes doctor visits, mental health counseling, prescription drugs, lab work, mammograms, cancer screenings and treatment, and dental care for seniors, veterans, and adults. Over the past 25 years, 1 in 4 Genesee County residents has received coverage through GHP!

Key Details:
• It is a Renewal of the existing millage, not a new tax.
• Previously approved by voters in 2006, 2012, and 2018.
• Property tax rate is .80 mills (approx. $40/year or $3.33/month for a home valued at $100,000).
• 5-year duration.
