We need your help planning our upcoming Pals activities! What are some of your favorite activities to do with kids during the winter? Movies? Bowling? Sledding? We want to hear it all!
If your family could use a little support this holiday season, be sure to mark your calendar for Monday, November 13th so you are able to register for assistance through the The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay!
If you want to take your volunteering to the next level- consider becoming a Brown County Foster Home!
✨Highlighting Hope✨
Brown County Foster Care is wanting to put a "spotlight" on the need for Foster Parents and "highlight hope" for the kids we serve. If you or someone you know could be a resource for this girl or other kids in our community contact us now!
On Friday, we got to hand out candy to hundreds of kiddos at Howe Community Resource Center at Trunk or Treat!
We hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween week!
I am a 9 year old boy.
I am very funny, and have a great sense of humor.
I do well in school but I don't like science. I like math, but I could use some extra help with my math homework.
I love basketball and fishing. I asked the Pals coordinator if I could find a pal who could take me fishing.
I love animals!
I live with my grandparents, and see mom on weekends. I love my family.
I would like a male role model to teach me things.
My little sister has a pal, and I really want to have a pal too, so i asked my grandmother to put me into the pals program!
COULD YOU BE MY PAL?
If you think you could be this pal, reach out to Judy Tilque! [email protected]
We have more than 30 kids on the waiting list looking for their pal!
Our shelves were looking very empty, but after picking up hygiene products from St. Agnes Parish our shelves are restocked and ready to support our families in need! Thank you so much to St Agnes for their ongoing support!
If your Church, work, school or club would like a box to collect hygiene items for families in Brown County that we serve, please reach out! We will deliver the boxes, a poster with information, and collect the boxes from you! We are always collecting hygiene items for the families we serve in our community.
Last weekend, Brown County Pals Program and Brown County Foster Care met at Foster The Village for a Halloween Event! We made candy apples, played games, saw some cool tricks from the magician, got our faces painted, and picked out Halloween Costumes! On top of that, Brown County Sheriff's Office came with Officers and Squad cars, and even a therapy dog! We also had a Fire Truck come from Green Bay Metro Fire Department with Firemen who let us jump into the truck and check out the equipment.
Police and Fire Fighters can be a little scary for kids who have been removed from the home due to the incidents leading to removal. THANK YOU to our friendly Officers and Firemen who came and chatted with the kids. The Police almost lost their night vision googles afew times, and a couple of Firemen were making candy apples with our Pals.
A huge THANK YOU to Allouez Optimist Club of Green Bay for your continued support for the children in the Pals Program and children in Brown County Foster Care. The kids had so much fun! Thank you to The green bay packers and to Green Bay Women's Basketball team for playing with the kids! Scotty Smith from Synergy Sports Performance for hosting the event and to their wonderful staff! Camera Corner Connecting Point for the printer to send kids home with an autographed picture, and to Liz for taking the most beautiful and fun photos! What wonderful memories you helped create for such special kids!
Thanks to our wonderful Pals Mentors for always being alongside these kiddos during wonderful events like this, and in the harder times that we don't see. You truly make a difference in all that you do for these kids, and we appreciate you!
Check this out!
Be sure to share with all your guy friends.

Thank you Target for kicking off our Christmas donations for kids that we serve! We appreciate it! Can you believe it's only 11 weeks away!
We get questions every year from people who want to spread some Christmas cheer and don't know how. If you wish to donate any items for kids please reach out to Judy at [email protected] or Jenna at [email protected]
Thank you to the The Weidner Center - UWGB Campus for donating 50 tickets to our Pals! It was a wonderful show!
WE ARE SEARCHING FOR MORE VOLUNTEER DRIVERS!
If you are looking to volunteer for 1-2 hours per week, Brown County Volunteer Services are recruiting more volunteer drivers to assist with transporting kids to visits and appointments in the Brown County area.
One of our volunteer drivers says she loves seeing the kids smiles and listening to their stories. Another of our volunteer drivers is now referred to as grandpa by one of the kids he drives for weekly.
You can make a huge difference in a little time with these kids. We also reimburse mileage, and provide car seats.
If you are interested please reach out to Judy by email [email protected] or call or text 920-621-4160
Brown County Volunteer Services had a great time at Volunteer Center of Brown County expo last week! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi and learn about our volunteer opportunities!
On Monday, the Pals Program had the opportunity to go to Hands on Deck for pizza, paper boat making, and paper making from pumpkins-who knew that was a thing?
We were also able to go on boat rides! For every kiddo there with Pals, it was their first boat ride and it was a special day!
Pictured is 4 year old Angel who at first was a little nervous for the boat ride. Angel ended up having so much fun she took the captain's seat!
We have kids on our waiting list, and if you are interested in being a mentor to one of these kiddos please get in touch for more information.
Thank you to HANDS ON DECK and our wonderful volunteers who make a huge impact on the lives of these kids.
We have kids on our waiting list! You could make a difference by becoming their Pal and being part of their journey.
Brown County Volunteer Services will be at UWGB this week on Wednesday for their OrgSmorg event! We are looking forward to meeting students and talking about our volunteer opportunities! Did you know we have a lot of interns from UWGB? Some students start out as volunteers to build their skills and knowledge! UWGB Career Services UWGB Student Engagement Center

Foster The Village has been such a huge support to the children that we serve in our programs. We are SO lucky to have this organization in our community!
The saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. One woman created a community where foster families can feel supported.
Our Pals Program is looking forward to a fun evening of fishing and food thanks to Green Bay Trout Unlimited, Green Bay Area Exchange Club, Festival Foods and the Izaak Walton League of America!!
