Hancock County Senior Services is excited to offer the Blue Envelope Program free of charge to all Hancock County residents. We are one of three sign up facilities.

The Hancock County Blue Envelope Program is a free, voluntary safety and communication initiative designed to assist individuals with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, dementia, or other communication challenges during interactions with law enforcement and first responders.

Participants receive a blue envelope to store important documents, including a copy of their driver’s license, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and emergency contact information. During a traffic stop or emergency, the blue envelope serves as a visual cue that the individual may communicate differently or require additional time, patience, or accommodations.

The program helps reduce anxiety, improve communication, and promote safer, more positive interactions between community members and first responders. Blue Envelopes are available at no cost to Hancock County residents. Participation is completely voluntary and does require a registration.

For more information about the Blue Envelope Program, or to request a Blue Envelope feel free to come to our office and we can help you fill it out!

We encourage all Buck Creek residents to attend the Township Advisory Boards Public Hearing on the 2027 budget.

The public hearing will give residents an opportunity to review the proposed budget, ask questions, and share their thoughts before the board takes final action.

If concerns are raised during the hearing, the Township and Board can review the proposed figures and make appropriate changes before the budget is formally adopted, subject to Indiana’s budgeting requirements and deadlines.

❤️ A Special Thank You to Phil & Brittany Spencer and Everyone Who Helped! ❤️

We want to take a moment to recognize Phil Spencer, Buck Creek Township Fire Department Union President, and his wife, Brittany, for spearheading the incredible effort to help our local flood victims.

Phil and Brittany dedicated countless hours organizing, collecting, sorting, and delivering donations to those who needed them most. Their compassion, hard work, and willingness to step up for our community truly made a difference.

We also want to extend our heartfelt THANK YOU to every person who donated, volunteered, helped organize, loaded, delivered, or supported this effort in any way. It took an entire community coming together to make this possible.

Phil, Brittany, and everyone involved — we see your hard work, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful for all you do for those in need. ❤️

Thank you for showing what community and compassion are all about! 🇺🇸
