A recent expeditionary dredging test event at the Port of Gulfport evaluated the use of a configurable barge system and long-reach excavator to conduct dredging operations. During the evolution, the team assembled the barge, loaded the excavator, and conducted a trial dredging operation to validate system performance and operational effectiveness.

The evolution showcased the value of innovation, technical expertise, and collaboration in advancing expeditionary engineering capabilities that support the Fleet. NCG 2 is proud to contribute to the development and refinement of capabilities that enhance mission readiness and strengthen the Navy's ability to operate in dynamic environments.
