It is only five more days until American Eagle Day! We are celebrating at the American Bald Eagle Foundation with Community Day! But today, there is a celebration in Virginia. Our friends at the Wildlife Center of Virginia are releasing Bald Eagle 26-1314 after recovering from a fight with another Eagle in May. (Link for more info in the comments)

There is a lot on Haines schedule June 20, American Eagle Day/Community Day, so stop in for a bit of a break or if you want to avoid the crowds. Have a behind the scenes tour, see the new and updated exhibits, get a photo with an Ambassador Bird. Have a cup of Feather Fuel Coffee.

The Bookstore has new extended summer hours! 📚

In addition to our regular Tuesday - Saturday hours of 11-5, we will now have regular Sunday hours from 10-4, AND extended evening hours on Thursdays, so we will be open from 11-7.
