It's very hot today! During extreme heat, save energy and stay cool with these tips:
1. **Use Fans**: Set ceiling fans to rotate counterclockwise for a cooling breeze.
2. **Adjust Thermostat**: Set it higher and use a programmable thermostat.
3. **Block Sunlight**: Close blinds and curtains during peak sun hours.
4. **Seal Leaks**: Prevent cool air from escaping by sealing gaps.
5. **Limit Heat-Producing Appliances**: Use microwaves and slow cookers instead of ovens.
6. **Maintain AC**: Clean filters regularly and schedule professional check-ups.
7. **Stay Hydrated**: Drink water and wear lightweight clothing.
These steps help reduce energy use and keep you comfortable.
