12:30 p.m. UPDATE: Crews are preparing to cut power so that they can finish their work. This will take place at 1:30 p.m., with repairs expected to be completed by 4 p.m.
UPDATE: As part of the repairs, crews will need to replace the existing utility pole. They are currently waiting on locates from several other utility providers.
While they wait, crews will re-energize the lines. Power will be restored for about 45 minutes, before it will need to be cut while the new pole is put into place.
OUTAGE: Electric crews will be cutting power to several neighborhoods on the east side of town, as they make repairs to utility poles along Mechanic Street, near Elm Street, that were damaged in the storms that happened early this morning.
The work will begin around 8:15 a.m. At this time, crews do not have a timeline for the repairs.
