Yesterday our 5th graders along with the other 5th graders from Johnston, Southridge and Warren got together after school for an awesome hangout before they join forces at Highland Middle School. Meadows Park was the perfect spot to start this awesome tradition. Shout out to the 4 schools PTO/PTC for making this event happen. We are Highland Strong!

Last Day of Staff Appreciation and it did not disappoint! Breakfast provided by STOH School Board/Admin and lunch was Penn Station sandwiches! Dance routine competition winners, Mrs. Geffert and Mrs. Mako. Overall champions for participating this week were Mrs. Rodriguez, Miss Santiago and Miss Gallagher. Students also dressed like staff and check out the next Mr. McMahon!
We are extremely grateful for our Merkley Teachers and staff not just this week but everyday! We wish we could have staff appreciation everyday or at least just the fun challenges we make them do!

Day 4 of Staff Appreciation was a slam dunk! Yummy pizza from Danny Z's and custard from Culver's to make sundaes. Staff participated in a fun basketball partner relay and bracket. Winner winner chicken dinner for Mrs. Geffert, Miss Santiago and Mrs. Reyes. Looking forward to another fantastic day tomorrow.

Side note Mrs. Torres ventured out and picked up all the Nothing Bundt Cakes! Orders have been filled and will be ready for pick up tomorrow.
