Last night, Chief Bob Cormier had the honor of representing the New England Association of Chiefs of Police and presenting the 1st Place Community Policing Award to Chief Eddie Benjamin and the Holden Police Department.

Holden PD was selected as the top agency in New England among departments serving communities with under 15,000 residents, recognizing their outstanding work through the “25 Days of Kindness” program, founded by Chief Chris Greeley in 2017, and their ongoing commitment to helping others both within and beyond their community.

Chief Cormier said, “We are incredibly proud of Chief Benjamin and the entire Holden Police Department. This recognition is truly well-deserved. Congratulations!”😃🎉

He didn’t know it but I had to take this photo of our Chief 💙
I was pumping fuel when I spotted him showing this little guy the lights on his cruiser, then as he held his hand he led him across the parking lot safely ⭐️
Thank you for your Kindness Holden Maine Police Department ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We heard that a veteran was struggling financially and that he couldn't pay his light bill. As a result, his power was shut off. With the assistance of MVP, we were able to pay for his light bill so his power could be restored.
