Today Happy Pumper is flowing water through 300’ of 3” hose to a gated wye. Two 1 3/4” handlines are connected to the wye, each 100’ long, and each flowing 125 gpm through fog nozzles running at a standard pressure of 100 psi. What is Happy Pumper’s pump pressure?

Fire truck FriYAY! This is Medic 2 (M-2), one of the workhorses of our fleet. We are not Kachemak Fire Department or Kachemak Ambulance Service, but Kachemak Emergency Services - we respond to fires, medical emergencies, and all kinds of things. In fact, the majority of our call volume is for medical issues.

This time Happy Pumper is getting water from a tank that measures 6’2” x 76” x 5’8”. If Happy Pumper flows water at a constant rate of 250 gpm, how long before the tank is empty?

It’s another fire truck FriYAY! This is Engine 2 (E-2), all cleaned up, shined up, and looking fabulous! Especially well suited for this locale, this truck has all wheel drive capability and is pretty nimble, bringing 750 gallons of water to the fight.
