Homer Middle School

Homer Middle School Homer Middle School, Homer, Alaska Homer Middle School is located in Homer, Alaska. HMS serves about 200 7th and 8th grade students.

The students participate in a 7 period day with each student taking English, Math, Social Studies, Music, Science, PE and a 9-week Enrichment Wheel Class. The Enrichment Wheel includes Health, Art, Technology and Robotics. HMS has 13 full-time teachers, 2-part time teachers and itinerant staff who provide services such as speech/language, school psychologist, adaptive PE, Migrant tutoring, support

tutoring, ELL tutoring, counseling and intervention services. HMS students have the opportunity to participate in seasonal sports: soccer, cross country running, basketball, wrestling, volleyball, Nordic skiing and track. There are also a variety of clubs for students such as student council, yearbook, PHAT and Battle of the Books.
