📣 It’s time to complete your 2026–2027 Annual Student Enrollment forms! All new and returning YES Prep students must have their forms submitted through Skyward Family Access.

These forms help us keep student info current so we can stay TEA-compliant and respond quickly in case of an emergency.

🔗 Look for the “Annual Student Enrollment Forms” tile in Skyward. We encourage families to complete their students' form as soon as possible but no later than Friday, July 31, 2026.

A strong school year starts before the first day of class.

Join us for the YES Prep Cares Back-to-School Health Fair, where families can access free vaccines, school supplies, haircuts and community resources to help students start the school year healthy, prepared and ready to learn.

Through partnerships with Texas Children's, Ogle School, First Student and others, families will have access to resources and services—all in one place.

We're also excited to welcome Commissioner Lesley Briones and Council Member Edward Pollard as we come together to support Houston families.

Families can enjoy:
• Free vaccines provided by Texas Children's
• 300 free backpacks filled with school supplies
• Free or low-cost haircuts provided by Ogle School
• Community resources and support services
• Resources from the YES Prep Special Education Department

The best day of the year did not disappoint. 💙💛

Senior Signing Day 2026, presented by ConocoPhillips, brought together YES Prep families, students, staff, alumni, donors, and supporters to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the Class of 2026.

This year’s seniors:
✨ Earned more than 12,630+ college acceptances
✨ Surpassed $120+ MILLION in scholarships and financial aid
✨ At least one student accepted to every Ivy League university in the country

From college declarations and military commitments to performances from student dance teams and cheer groups across our campuses, the day was filled with pride, joy, and unforgettable moments.

To our seniors: thank you for showing Houston what is possible. Your hard work, resilience, and determination continue to inspire us all.

And to our families, staff, donors, and community partners — thank you for helping make moments like this possible.

☀️ Summer is here, and free meals are available for Houston-area children and teens.

Through June 26, children and teens 18 and younger can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at participating YES Prep campuses, regardless of where they attend school.

This year’s honorees include the Founding Valedictorian and Salutatorian of Hobby Secondary, a historic milestone for their inaugural graduating class. Congratulations, Aviators! ✈️

Now it's time to glaze into summer! 😎

Breakfast / Desayuno - 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Lunch / Almuerzo - 11:55 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.

Beginning Tuesday, June 2nd at all YES Prep elementary campuses, and 14 secondary schools, children ages 18 and younger and eligible individuals with disabilities up to 21 years old, can continue to eat healthy throughout the summer at no cost. The last day of the summer meals program is Friday, June 26. All visitors will be asked to show ID and check in at the Front Office window with a staff member prior to entering the building. If you do not have an ID, you will not be able to enter the building.
Important reminders
Please note that summer meal distribution will be closed on Friday, June 19.
Summer Meals end Friday, June 26, 2026.
