Harris County Precinct One's Miller Road Service Center is not for daily heavy trash drop-offs; it now accepts them only on the third Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents should bring their heavy trash to the service center at 15530 Miller Rd 1, Houston, TX 77049. ID is required for this no-cost drop-off, which is for unincorporated Harris County residents only and does not accept commercial waste.

Operational conditions at the LyondellBasell Channelview Complex 8280 Sheldon Road have resulted in flaring at the facility. Flaring is a safety and environmental control device used to manage and combust process materials.
The community may notice a bright flame, smoke, or a rumbling noise during this time. You do not need to take any action. LB is actively working to stop flaring quickly and safely. The focus is to minimize inconvenience and protect the safety of the community, the environment, and our employees. Questions can be directed to [email protected]. ATV INCIDENT: Crosby Frwy. @ San Jacinto River (below) — one rider injured falling off cliff approximately 10-15 ft. while driving ATV. Our Sta. No. 1 and Sta. No. 2 responded. South Lake Houston EMS transported for medical attention. Knowing your route before driving (vehicle, ATV, etc.) prevents and avoids dangerous hidden hazards like deep water or steep drops.
