Operational conditions at the LyondellBasell Channelview Complex 8280 Sheldon Road have resulted in flaring at the facility. Flaring is a safety and environmental control device used to manage and combust process materials. The community may notice a bright flame, smoke, or a rumbling noise during this time. You do not need to take any action. We are actively working to stop flaring quickly and safely. Our focus is to minimize inconvenience and protect the safety of the community, the environment, and our employees. Questions can be directed to [email protected]. High-rise hose Deployment & Ventilation: Mastering the physical skills needed to attack a fire quickly and safely.
Engine Familiarization: Knowing the fire engine inside and out to ensure seamless operations.
Hazmat Materials: Understanding how to safely identify and mitigate hazardous incidents.
Hurricane Planning: Staying prepared to protect our community when severe weather strikes.
Passing these rigorous tests is no easy feat, and it speaks volumes about their dedication, hard work, and the quality training provided by our crew.
