We are proud to unveil our Autism Awareness–branded ambulance. A symbol of our commitment to providing compassionate, understanding, and inclusive emergency medical care for everyone in our community.

Autism awareness is about more than recognition, it’s about acceptance, respect, and ensuring that every individual receives care that meets their unique needs. We hope this ambulance serves as a reminder that empathy and understanding can make all the difference during an emergency.

Last week, some of our education team had the opportunity to get out in the field and work with Richmond PD, leading their Tactical First Aid course. A huge thank you to our fellow first aid partners for their collaboration and commitment. When we train together, communicate effectively, and operate from the same playbook, we give our patients the best chance at a positive outcome. 🚑

We had a very special visitor stop by our headquarters today… 🦒

Gracie the Giraffe stopped in to meet with one of our recruiters about a potential opportunity with City Ambulance Service. We’re not saying she’s joining the team… but we’ve already started looking into custom-sized uniforms and an extra-tall ambulance. 👀🚑

City Ambulance is deeply saddened by the loss of Lieutenant Huerta. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Odessa Fire & EMS community during this difficult time.

Our partnership with Odessa Fire & EMS is an important part of serving the people of West Texas. We have the privilege of working alongside dedicated professionals who demonstrate courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our communities every day. Lieutenant Huerta’s service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

We are sharing this fundraiser to support Lieutenant Huerta’s family as they navigate the days and months ahead. We encourage our community to come together in honor of his memory and consider contributing if you are able.

Recognizing Excellence in Critical Care Transport

The other day at Texas Health Denton, members of our crew and their supervisor were honored with a Coin Ceremony in recognition of an exceptional patient transport mission.

The team successfully coordinated and completed the transport of a critically ill bariatric patient requiring ECMO therapy at Texas Health Dallas. The patient was intubated and receiving multiple vasoactive infusions, making this a highly complex and time-sensitive operation. Due to the patient’s condition and circumstances, air transport was not an option, requiring the crew to execute a safe and efficient ground transport under challenging conditions.

This recognition reflects the professionalism, teamwork, clinical expertise, and dedication demonstrated by everyone involved. We are proud of the outstanding care provided and the commitment shown to ensuring the patient received the advanced treatment they needed.

Congratulations to the crew and leadership team on this well-deserved honor. Your efforts exemplify the highest standards of emergency medical services and critical care transport. 👏🏽🚑
