Community Volunteer Fire Department

Community Volunteer Fire Department CVFD is a combination ISO Class 1 fire department serving Northeast Fort Bend and Southwest Harris County

09/28/2026

After another stretch of hot and dry weather, some much-needed rain may finally be on the way to Fort Bend County.

Rain and thunderstorm chances begin increasing Wednesday, with the best chances for widespread rainfall expected Thursday and Friday as an upper-level disturbance moves across the region.

There is still some uncertainty regarding exactly where the heaviest rain will fall and how much we will receive, so forecast details will continue to be refined over the next few days.

We are excited to join everyone this Saturday at the Lonestar Safety Fest!

We are excited to join everyone this Saturday at the Lonestar Safety Fest!

We are officially ONE WEEK AWAY from Lonestar Safety Fest 2026! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš‘

As we get closer to the big day, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the incredible first responder agencies, public safety organizations, community partners, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who are helping make this yearโ€™s event possible.

What started ten years ago with a simple mission of bringing people together around safety has grown into something truly special. Year after year, agencies from across our region set aside patches, jurisdictions, and titles to come together for one purpose: our community.

Lonestar Safety Fest would not be possible without the men and women who bring their apparatus, equipment, resources, demonstrations, and most importantly, their time. Your commitment allows families to meet the people who serve them, learn important safety lessons, and experience public safety in a fun and welcoming environment.

And the best part? Itโ€™s FREE for families!

Weโ€™re almost there. ONE MORE WEEK!

Come meet your first responders, bring the family, and help us celebrate 10 years of Lonestar Safety Fest! โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™
