A huge thank you to our amazing Hospitality Team for making our teachers and staff feel so loved during Open House! From a delicious dinner catered by (Freddie Williams) to a festive Fall Candy Apple Bar, our team pulled out all the stops. 🍁✨

We also want to wish a very Happy Birthday to all of our teachers and staff celebrating birthdays this September! 🎂🎉 We are so grateful for everything you do for our school community every single day. 💙

We’re collecting candy to fill piñatas for our upcoming Hispanic Heritage Night celebration! Drop off a bag in the Front Office anytime between now and October 2nd.

This is a flexible, come-and-go event designed for busy schedules—arrive whenever works for your family!

Here is what to expect:

4:00 PM Welcome: Brief welcome in the cafeteria with Principal King & the PTA. Arriving later? No problem at all—go straight to the tables or classrooms!

Cafeteria Tables: Stop by anytime to connect with the PTA, visit the HISD Sunrise Centers table, and check on Yearbook orders!

Classrooms & More: Visit your child's classroom, meet their teachers, view student work, and check the Lost & Found for missing jackets and water bottles.

🍎 Monthly Grade-Level Lunches are back for October! 🥪

• Oct 2: PreK, Kinder & 2nd Grade
• Oct 16: 3rd & 5th Grade
• Oct 23: 1st & 4th Grade

⚠️ Quick Reminder: All visitors must be VIPS approved and RSVP in advance. Keep an eye on ParentSquare—the school will send out the RSVP link 1 week before each lunch date! (Limit 2 adults per student)

Join us from September 28th – October 2nd as we celebrate our culture, our people, our stories, and our heritage! 🌟

Here is our daily dress-up schedule:

💚🤍❤️Monday, Sept. 28: Wear the colors of a Latin American flag!
⭐ Tuesday, Sept. 29: Dress as your Hispanic Role Model or wear a shirt honoring one! (historical figures, artists, scientists, athletes, leaders, etc.)
🕶️ Wednesday, Sept. 30: NEON DAY! Wear bright neon colors to highlight Hispanic Heritage Month!
💃 Thursday, Oct. 1: CULTURAL DAY WEAR! Wear traditional attire, colors, accessories, or clothing representing Hispanic culture.
⚽ Friday, Oct. 2: JERSEY DAY! Wear a jersey to show appreciation for your favorite team, player, or school!
