The bank robbery suspect formerly known only as the "Subzero Suspect" and recently identified as Jamail White is finally facing federal charges- eight counts! White is accused of robbing several Frost Banks at gunpoint, from 2021 to 2026. He was arrested in North Dakota last month.

Ada Ngozi Otuka, a British national, has plead guilty to illegally voting in a U.S. federal election while a non-U.S. citizen and lying about being an American citizen in order to register to vote. She will be sentenced at a later date. FBI Houston and investigated.

Salih Alhemoud has pleaded guilty to a Hate Crime he committed based on the victim's actual and perceived sexual orientation. In August 2022, Alhemoud used Grindr, a social media application, to set up a date with a transgender victim whom he physically assaulted at gunpoint at their apartment. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 26, 2026. This was an FBI Houston civil rights investigation with assistance by the .

27-year-old inmate Melvin Jones from Houston has been sentenced for assaulting a federal correctional officer inside a Corpus Christi prison. Two years have been added to Jones' federal prison sentence for the September 2025 assault of a federal correctional officer who was trying to search Jones after suspecting he had a contraband cell phone.

BREAKING Jair Urbano Rodriguez "El Doctor" has been extradited from Colombia to the United States to faces charges of Conspiracy to Provide Material Support to a Designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, narcoterrorism, and International Co***ne Distribution Conspiracy. Rodriguez is one of five individuals arrested as a result of a multi-agency operation targeting members of the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) or National Liberation Army, a Foreign Terrorist Organization. He's scheduled to make his federal court appearance in Houston this afternoon.

An FBI Houston investigation results in the federal indictment of 8 men in connection to a series of armed robberies at Houston area game rooms. Six are in law enforcement custody after arrests over the last 24 hours. Two are considered fugitives. They are Jose Carlos Martinez and Henry Chavez (pictured).

🐾 Wally, one of the FBI's crisis response canines (CRCs) is retiring!
Wally, photographed here during his service in Uvalde, joined the Bureau in October 2015 and will retire at the end of this month. Wally and his fellow CRCs are specially trained to support victims of crime and their families and foster trust among impacted communities. FBI Houston joins the Bureau in thanking the bestest of boys for his service! 🐾

FBI Houston’s Safe Streets Task Force, along with , USMS, DPS, and other law enforcement partners, arrested four individuals on federal drug charges as part of Operation Summer Heat:
▪️ Jacoby Duane Rhodes
▪️ Jamal Leon Howard
▪️ Cristian Pierre Robertson
▪️ Ryan Tyler Causey
All are expected to appear in federal court this afternoon. This is the second year of the FBI's “Summer Heat” operation which targets violent crime by coordinating with federal, state, and local partners to surge resources to dismantle violent gangs and make our communities safer.
