It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our fellow board member and friend, Bill Ballew, age 79.

Bill passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2026. He was a valued member of our board and community, and his presence, friendship, and dedication will be deeply missed.

Bill is survived by his wife Brenda, two children and his sister Jerrie. He also leaves to cherish his memory three grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Bill started his own CPA firm at the age of 31, and continued to work into his mid seventies. He enjoyed being with family, lunches with his Sunday School group, and walking the local scenic trails. He was also active in Rotary at the local and district levels, a board member of the Heights Chamber of Commerce, a regular blood donor, and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

Funeral service will be in the chapel at Houston's First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, on Thursday, August 13, 11:00 am.

The family requests that donations be made to Project ALS or Rotary International.
