Congratulations to the ZTA Houston Alumnae Association for being recognized as a Crown Chapter at the 2026 ZTA Convention! Here's a note from the current Alumnae Association President, Suzanna Johnson:

"We recently returned from an incredible 2026 Zeta Tau Alpha Convention in Palm Desert, California, where alumnae and collegiate members from across the country came together to celebrate our sisterhood, conduct Fraternity business (including debuting a brand new logo!), develop leadership skills, and prepare for another impactful biennium.

We are especially proud to share that the Houston Alumnae Association was once again recognized as a Crown Chapter, which honors excellence in chapter operations, programming, membership engagement, philanthropy, and service. This recognition reflects the dedication and passion of our members who continually work to strengthen our local sisterhood while supporting ZTA's mission.

Convention also provided an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable impact Zeta Tau Alpha continues to make nationwide. Through our long-standing partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, members have helped raise millions of dollars to advance breast cancer research and education. We also celebrated the many ways chapters across the country are fostering leadership, scholarship, lifelong sisterhood, and meaningful community service.

Throughout the week, delegates attended educational sessions focused on volunteer development, member engagement, recruitment, leadership, communication, and the future of our Fraternity. We exchanged ideas with sisters from every region of the country and returned home inspired with new strategies and fresh perspectives that we look forward to implementing here in Houston.

Our Chapter's Official Delegate was Allison Poore, who is currently serving as our chapter's VP Philanthropy and Service. Our chapter President, Suzanna Johnson, attended in her capacity as Collegiate National Officer for Theta Eta Chapter at Stephen F. Austin State University.

We appreciate the continued partnership and friendship among the Houston Panhellenic community and look forward to collaborating throughout the coming year as we continue to support women's leadership, scholarship, service, and lifelong fraternity membership."

Congratulations to the Houston Gamma Phi Alumnae Chapter for receiving the Order of the Crescent Order of 1874 Award at convention! We also want to extend congratulations Rochelle Bullock, which received the Philanthropist of the Year Award and gave a wonderful speech at convention, and to past HAPA president Julie Vowell Ramirez for receiving an honorable mention for the Beatrice Locke Hogan Award. We are so proud of these women for their accomplishments!

Congratulations to the Houston Alumnae Association of Alpha Delta Pi for receiving the Azure Blue Achievement Award at the 2026 ADPi National Convention this past June in Palm Springs, CA! This year marked 175 years of sisterhood! We also congratulate HAPA's Governance Chair, Monica Isgren, for being appointed by NPC to the NPC Alumnae Panhellenic Committee! We wish you the best this biennium!

The 63rd Alpha Chi Omega convention was held in Dallas, TX July 17th-19th and was attended by the Province Collegiate Chair, STX advisors (HCU, UH, SHSU, UT, Lamar, & TAMU), SHSU collegians & alumnae, HCU collegians & alumnae, and UH, SHSU, Lamar, UT, & TAMU collegians! We also congratulate Kori Whitener Fellows, a UT Austin alumna, for becoming a National Vice President and representing Texas on the National Council.

The 2026 Chi Omega Convention was held in Phoenix, AZ during the weekend of June 19th-21st and attended by the shining legacy duo Rachel Richards, the President of Chi Omega Alumnae of Houston , and her mother Marian Richards, alumna of the Xi Kappa chapter at Texas A&M. Thank you for representing Houston!

Congratulations to the Alpha Gamma Delta Houston Alumnae Club for receiving four awards during the 2026 Convention in Phoenix, AZ! The awards included "Most Improved Financial Support" and "Best Financial Support Honor Roll" from the AGD Foundation, the "Adopt-A-Chapter Award Honor Roll", and the "Helen Mac Clarahan Spiese Panhellenic Award Honor Roll". We are so excited for you to continue and build upon your success from this past biennium!

This past weekend Delta Zeta Houston Alumnae Chapter and HAPA sisters came together to wish a cherished member goodbye as she moves out of the Houston area. Judy Harwell has served in many roles within HAPA including President for the 2009-2010 year, Programs Chair, Ways & Means Chair, Recruitment Chair, and more. Thank you for your time and service Judy and we wish you well on your next adventure!

The Phi Mu Houston Alumnae Chapter had several representatives attend the 2026 Phi Mu Convention in Atlanta, GA on July 1st-5th. Congratulations to Pamela Sonnier who was elected to the Phi Mu Foundation Board of Directors and Janeen Judah for her continued service as the current Phi Mu Foundation President!
