“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.

In recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, The Women’s Home would like to honor all of our clients and staff members for their courage to continue moving forward in the face of oppression. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to build a safe space for growth and recovery, and are continuously committed to creating an environment that fosters racial equity, within our walls and beyond.

This year, we honored a few special guests at our luncheon. Mrs. Heida Thurlow has been involved with The Women's Home for over 30 years, and has generously offered us her time and resources to care for the women in our programs. She has served as a Board member, Advisory Board member, and volunteer, but one of her most touching contributions has been hiring program graduates to work at her company, Chantal Cookware. Heida is beloved by her community, and we are honored to celebrate her commitment to our mission!
