Mission Description:
NCO will process special pay actions for the USAR Processing Branch (UPB) Fort McCoy, WI. Responsibilities include processing pay actions for Health Professions Loan Repayment Program, Incentive Pay (IP), Board Certification Pay (BCP), and other pay related activities. NCO will be responsible for understanding and applying statutory, regulatory, and policy effects on/to pay related activities. NCO will utilize various Pay Management and Human Resource systems to execute daily duties and responsibilities. Systems include but are not limited to Reserve Incentive Management System (RIMS), DJMS-RC, DMO, DMO Web, CSMM, and other related systems. NCO will analyze data to ensure timely and accurate pay processing actions. NCO will work with other divisions within USAR as well as the Office of the Surgeon General and Human Resources Command to ensure timely and accurate pay management performance. NCO will also coordinate with system developer to advise on processes and functions appropriate with further development of RIMS.

Mission Description:
The USAR Pay Certification Course Instructor is responsible for delivering in-depth instruction on military pay administration policies, procedures, and systems to Reserve Pay Technicians, military personnel (TPU/AGR) with the 36A/36B MOS, and civilians who process COMPO III pay transactions. This role involves preparing and presenting course materials, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of the complexities of military pay processes, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to manage pay-related responsibilities efficiently within their units. The course covers a range of topics, including pay entitlements, incentive pays, mobilization, Leave and Earnings Statements (LES), Electronic Unit Commander's Pay Reports (EUCFR), Master Military Pay Account (MMPA), Pay Entry Basic Date (PEBD), Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), bonuses, resolving pay inquiries, collections, prorations, waiver and remission packets, the mobilization process, passing military pay audits, and continuation pay requests. The instructor must stay up to date on the latest pay regulations, DoDFMR, USAR PAM 37-1, Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) updates, Reserve Pay messages, MILPER messages, ALARACT messages, and other relevant military pay policies. Instructional methods include lectures, hands-on practical exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios designed to reinforce learning. In addition to teaching, the instructor will evaluate student performance through assessments and practical exercises, providing constructive feedback and mentoring students to improve their proficiency in pay management. The role also involves collaborating with the USAR Processing Branch and the IPPS-A team to revise and enhance course content in response to new pay regulations, system changes, or student feedback. The instructor is responsible for ensuring all training is compliant with established standards and best practices, effectively preparing students to handle military pay tasks accurately and efficiently. This contributes to the overall mission readiness of units by ensuring personnel are capable of managing pay-related duties. This position requires travel to the USAR Processing Branch (UPB) at Fort McCoy, WI, for training.
