The IEDA Spring Conference in Bloomington brought together professionals from across Indiana for two days of thoughtful discussion, new connections, and shared learning.

It was a strong reminder of the value of coming together as a community—exchanging ideas, building relationships, and gaining insights that support the work happening in communities across the state.

You showed up—and we listened.

Through regional sessions, our member survey, and countless conversations, you shared what IEDA means to you and what you need from your professional home. Your honesty and engagement guided every step forward.

Last Friday, April 17, IEDA’s board gathered for a full‑day retreat to put that input into action. Together, we moved from listening to deciding—setting our direction, clarifying priorities, and committing to the work ahead.

This wasn’t just a planning session. It was a shared commitment to building a stronger IEDA for professionals and communities across Indiana.
