Rocky Ripple is being evacuated due to potential flooding.
IMPORTANT FLOOD INFORMATION – BROAD RIPPLE
Due to ongoing flooding and rising water levels, floodwall gates will be closed in the Broad Ripple area as a public safety precaution.
The affected area is bounded by:
• North College Avenue to the west
• East 67th Street to the south
• Westfield Boulevard to the east
• White River to the north
• Monon Area

The affected area includes nine homes, The Edgewater Apartments, area businesses, and the Indianapolis Art Center.
Residents, visitors, and businesses within this area are strongly urged to leave and be out of the affected area by 9:30 p.m., before the floodwall gates are closed.
Once the gates are closed, residents will not be able to access their homes, and emergency crews will not be able to access the affected area. Emergency officials are working to directly notify those within the impacted area.
Residents who need a safe place to shelter for the evening may go to the following shelter:

If you are evacuating, take essential medications, identification, a phone and charger, and necessary personal items with you.
Do not drive or walk through floodwater, and do not go around barricades. Follow all instructions from public safety personnel.
If you need assistance evacuating, call 211. Call 911 for emergencies.
Residents who evacuate are encouraged to remain outside the area until conditions improve and public safety officials advise it is safe to return. Continue to monitor official updates for changing conditions and additional instructions.
