Don’t underestimate the influence you have on your children! Share clear, age-appropriate information about the risks of ma*****na use, set expectations, and create space for questions without being judgmental. Topics you can cover include how ma*****na can affect brain development, decision-making, and the risk of cannabis use disorder.
Start simple:
• Ask what they’ve heard from friends or online
• Talk about real-life situations (like driving or school performance)
• Be clear about your expectations and why they matter
The goal isn’t fear—it’s helping teens make informed, safer choices.

Have ma*****na in your home? Call us at (517) 768-1670 to set up an appointment to receive a free lock bag. Keep your ma*****na locked up and away from curious kids!

This May, our Empowering Youth Today program is sharing friendship-related Expectation vs Reality facts. There is an expectation among youth that everyone will like you if you act a certain way. The reality is that not everyone will like you, and that is okay. It is better to be yourself than to be liked by everyone.
