MS State Fire Academy Sitting on 112 acres just outside of Jackson, the Mississippi State Fire Academy (MSFA) is one of the largest Fire Services Training facilities in the Nation.

To serve the Mississippi fire service community and the world by providing quality education and training in fundamental and advanced skills to save life and property. MSFA offers over 120 courses, training more than 15,000 students from Beginner Fire Fighter classes to the elite Smoke Divers, EMS and Fire Services (inspectors, investigators, etc.) annually. Oh and don’t forget! We love fire safety and prevention and offer tours and classes for groups!

The Mississippi Executive Fire Officer Program, Session 2. These students worked diligently on their applied research projects, finalizing their research questions and refining their problem and purpose statements as they prepare to begin their research. They engaged in leadership discussions led by Instructor Supervisor Luke Smith on insights from Dick Winters, and Instructor Chief Matt Hinkle presented on the use of AI in research. They also heard from guest speakers Dr. Brian Boutwell, PhD from the University of Mississippi, Dr. Reed Abraham from the Mississippi Insurance Department, and Jesse Bowman of the Mississippi State Fire Academy, who led a session on APA formatting.

Week 5 complete for ! Students covered Chs. 25 & 26: Fire & Life Safety and Vehicle Rescue. The students fought fire, found their way out of the box maze, completed an air consumption drill, and chopped up a car. No class next week due to holiday week.
