Calling all artists in Cherokee, Pickens, and Gilmer counties! We want YOU to design our first ever annual SRLS postcard! 🎨📬

To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, we're hosting a contest for community members to design our first ever annual postcard.

The winning postcard will be voted on by the community and available throughout 2027 as a free postcard and magnet while supplies last. The name of the winning postcard designer will be credited on the final design.

Interested in entering a design? Here's how you can be our first postcard artist!
📚 Sign-up for a SRLS library card if you do not already have one
🖌️Download or pick-up a postcard design template from any SRLS location or create your own design (must be 6 inches by 4 inches)
✅ Submit your design in person at any SRLS location or digitally on our website by September 30, 2026

Tomorrow morning toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers are invited to the library for a morning of socialization and play! 🧸

Thursday afternoon all ages are invited to drop in and design a one-of-a-kind bookmark using old book pages and other decorations! All materials provided. 🔖

Dungeons & Dragons is tomorrow! In this special extended campaign, anyone can join at any time. Registration for September's long form campaign is open now. 🐲

End the week with BINGO Friday morning and earn bookstore bucks to the Friends of Pickens County GA Library sale shelves. 📚
Then adults are invited to register to learn from the Pickens County Master Gardener Program about listening for the pollinators and create artwork. 🐝
