A huge thank you to this incredible crew of volunteers! 🛠️🔨

These dedicated folks have been hard at work repairing and painting the interior walls of our Kempton Community Center Recreation Hall. We are so incredibly grateful for the time, hard work, and skill you are pouring into our space. Because of your efforts, our community hall is going to look better than ever!

Thank you all for your commitment to keeping our community hub in great shape. We couldn't do it without you! 🙌

Keeping the Kempton Community Center grounds beautiful and well-maintained takes a village, and we are so incredibly grateful for some recent volunteer support from our community! We want to send a massive shoutout to:

🌱 Andy Shrawder at Hawk Valley Landscape Materials for generously donating the beautiful mulch. It has been placed around the memorial and down at the barn beds, giving those areas a fresh, clean look just in time for the busy summer season.

🪟 Kutztown Glass for kindly donating the replacement glass to fix the broken windows at the barn and the music pavilion stage back room.

🛠️ We also want to send a very special thank you to Gary Luckenbill! Gary volunteered his time and hard work to spread all of that mulch and install the new windows. We truly appreciate your dedication and elbow grease, Gary!

A wonderful evening of community pride at the Kempton Community Center! 🌟

At last night’s board meeting, we had the absolute honor of welcoming Halie and Sadie Davis, who presented the Center with these beautiful plaques of appreciation commemorating their incredible Eagle Scout Projects.

🦅 Sadie Davis (Troop 7013) completed her project in January 2026. She did an amazing job raising $3,000 to fund and lead the installation of crucial safety equipment across the Kempton Community Center grounds, including First Aid kits, De-choker devices, Fire blankets, and safety signage. A huge thank you goes out to the Kempton Lions Club for their generous support of Sadie's project!

🦇 Halie Davis (Troop 101 G) completed her project in September 2025. In an effort to protect declining bat populations from White Nose Syndrome, Halie led the construction and installation of eight bat houses on the Center's Southern grounds—providing a safe habitat for up to 2,000 bats! A special thank you to Bailey Wood Products for their vital support in making this environmental project a reality.

We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, leadership, and dedication these two young women have shown to our community. The safety upgrades and environmental improvements they’ve brought to the Center will have a lasting impact.
