If you grow, pack, research, or advise on tree fruit for a living, this tour is for you.
This November, the International Fruit Tree Association (IFTA) is taking a group of 100+ growers, packers, consultants, and educators on an 11-day study tour through some of the world's most innovative orchard country — Switzerland, Germany, and Italy's South Tyrol.
Highlights:
Orchard visits with leading Swiss and German pome and stone fruit producers
KOB Research Centre (Germany) — one of Europe's top fruit R&D facilities, covering apples, cherries, pears, peaches, plums, and apricots
Laimburg Research Centre (South Tyrol, Italy) — world-class work in fruit production, breeding, and packing innovation
Interpoma 2026 in Bolzano — the only international trade show dedicated exclusively to apples, held just once every two years
A South Tyrolean harvest celebration, a German hops farm, Swiss yodelers, and Alpine culture throughout
Optional leisure extensions before and after the main tour
