Divinity Family Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit child placing agency dedicated to providing HOPE and HEALING to children who have been REMOVED and PLACED in foster CARE. Divinity believes strongly that children who have been REMOVED should be PLACED with relative caregivers when it is possible and safe. Thus, we invest significant time and resources to suppor

t kinship caregivers to successfully fulfill their mission to care for relative children. When it is not possible for children to be placed with friends or family members, Child Protective Services (CPS) seeks an unrelated foster family. Divinity provides HOPE by licensing TBRI trained, safe, and loving foster families. Would you like to be equipped to meet the needs of children who need HOPE and HEALING? The goal for children placed in substitute CARE is to be reunified with their parents, but when this does not happen, another permanent living arrangement is needed. For 30 years, the Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children (ACPAMC) has played a vital role in shaping policy and improving outcomes for minority children in foster care across Texas.
Divinity Family Services is honored to have had a staff member serve in a leadership role on this committee, working alongside dedicated advocates committed to expanding adoption opportunities and strengthening support systems for children and families. This work was also recognized with a Governor’s Award for years of service and impact.
As the committee sunsets on August 31, 2026, its legacy will live on through the countless lives changed and families created. 💙
