Divinity Family Services is a 501(c) (3) non-profit child placing agency dedicated to providing HOPE and HEALING to children who have been REMOVED and PLACED in foster CARE. Divinity believes strongly that children who have been REMOVED should be PLACED with relative caregivers when it is possible and safe. Thus, we invest significant time and resources to suppor

t kinship caregivers to successfully fulfill their mission to care for relative children. When it is not possible for children to be placed with friends or family members, Child Protective Services (CPS) seeks an unrelated foster family. Divinity provides HOPE by licensing TBRI trained, safe, and loving foster families. Would you like to be equipped to meet the needs of children who need HOPE and HEALING? The goal for children placed in substitute CARE is to be reunified with their parents, but when this does not happen, another permanent living arrangement is needed. For 30 years, the Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children (ACPAMC) has played a vital role in shaping policy and improving outcomes for minority children in foster care across Texas.
Divinity Family Services is honored to have had a staff member serve in a leadership role on this committee, working alongside dedicated advocates committed to expanding adoption opportunities and strengthening support systems for children and families. This work was also recognized with a Governor’s Award for years of service and impact.
As the committee sunsets on August 31, 2026, its legacy will live on through the countless lives changed and families created. 💙

What a beautiful day for the Hammond family! 💙

Last week, Divinity had the incredible honor of witnessing the adoption of Brandon. Their journey to this moment was anything but easy, but their love, perseverance, and commitment to Brandon never wavered.

Having previously adopted Brandon’s older brother through private adoption, they had already sacrificed so much — even putting their dreams of building their home on hold.

Through every challenge, Angelica and Robert remained dedicated to creating a loving, stable home for these boys, and last week their beautiful story came full circle in the courtroom.

We are so thankful to have been part of this journey and incredibly grateful to our Divinity team members involved, for walking alongside this family every step of the way with care, support, and encouragement.

Congratulations to the Hammond family on this beautiful new chapter! 🎉🏡👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Last week, the Divinity team had the honor of joining the family at the courthouse for Carter’s adoption day — a moment filled with joy, love, and happy tears as this next chapter officially began.

Carter is incredibly blessed to be surrounded by a family who loves him wholeheartedly and has created a home full of support, stability, laughter, and unconditional love. Watching this family become forever official was such a powerful reminder of what truly matters: connection, commitment, and the life-changing impact of family.

This past Saturday, Divinity Family Services was honored to participate in No Mother Walks Alone: A Resource Fair for Mothers and Families in Need at St. Paul Community Center. We were especially grateful for the opportunity to meet and take a photo with Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller during this meaningful event.

Events like these remind us that when organizations, churches, and community leaders come together, families are surrounded with hope, support, and resources that can truly change lives.
