WATER MAIN BREAK:

The Alcoa Water Department discovered a water main break on McArthur Road. Residences affected by this break would include the Meadowland Apartments and the 700-1100 address block on McArthur Road. Crews are onsite now triaging the break and working to cut in a new valve that will help to eliminate the problem of future breaks. There is not an estimated time for this project. The Water Department will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Water Line Upgrades: E. Lincoln Rd. between N. Hall Rd. to N. Wright Rd.

Water upgrade work, consisting of installation of new main lines, will take place this week along E. Lincoln Rd. between N. Wright Rd. to N. Hall Rd. This work will continue through Friday afternoon, August 21, 2026.

Traffic will be diverted each day along Lincoln from approximately 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

From 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night, August 19, through 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning, August 20, E. Lincoln Rd. will be completely closed between N. Wright Rd. to N. Hall Rd., and detours will be in place.

The work on this phase of the project should be completed by Friday, August 21, 2026.

Motorists should take extra caution as workers will be present and allow additional travel time to reach their destination when traveling through this location.
