We will update this page to share as much as we can about Hays CISD and the achievements of the students and staff, as well as information of interest about the district. All comment postings on this page are at the discretion of the page administrators to protect the privacy a

nd rights of Hays CISD students and staff. The page administrators review all postings to make sure they follow the district's commenting rules, as well as the district’s acceptable use guidelines regarding internet access and practices. The fan page is intended as a positive means of communication between Hays CISD and its patrons. We will remove postings from the district's profile or fan page that:
1. This includes respecting copyright and fair use laws. 2. Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic or sexist, as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit. 3. Posting spam or solicitation – i.e. posting comments that are advertising/promoting a service or product. 6. Posts that may contain misinformation or false news, in accordance with Facebook policy. Page administrators reserve the right to remove any comments at any time, for any reason. The page administrators also reserve the right to update or amend commenting rules. Our commenting rules follow the district's social networking and Internet policies, which can be found on the Hays CISD website and in Policy CQ in the Board Policy Manual online. This week, teachers from around the district convened for a literacy presentation called Finding Joy in Explicit, Systematic Literacy Instruction at the ASC. The presentation, led by Campus Support Specialist Mandy Taylor, focused on play, fun and hands-on literacy. In addition to learning methods of sharing the joy of reading, the educators received some tasty treats from La Ola Pop Shop courtesy of Frost Bank.

Would you rather go fishing or go to school?

Students in the Pre-K/Kinder program at Science Hall Elementary School got to do both. Tuesday, members of the Texas Anglers fishing association, visited the campus and taught students some fishing basics. The kids learned to cast a lure and reel it in, and some students celebrated catching a rubber fish while doing so.

Thanks to the Texas Anglers for making it such a fun day for these Science Hall summer campers!

The end goal of the session was to re-evaluate and update the mission statement of each campus. District educators came together last Thursday for a valuable presentation titled Behavior by Design, hosted by the C&I department, on dealing with challenging behaviors. The day-long presentation kicked off with keynote speaker Cindy Jones from the Bureau of Education Research. Ms. Jones who has worked as a teacher, crisis interventionist and a principal at a school for students with behavior and emotional challenges, offered dozens of practical and effective strategies to get students back on track.

It’s been a little more than a week and we’re still so incredibly proud of the 1,945 Hays CISD seniors who were part of the Class of 2026 – one of the largest classes of graduates in the history of the district to date! In this video, captured by our district’s amazing Visual Media and Communication team, we take a fond look back at the grandeur, the emotion and the excitement that was Graduation 2026! Way to go, Hawks, Jaguars, Lobos and Owls!
