Join the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department for the United States Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday, June 20 at 9 a.m. at Heroes Memorial Park. 🇺🇸

This meaningful ceremony honors the American flag through a respectful retirement process rooted in tradition and patriotism. The program will include a special presentation by John Knox of the Patrick Henry Chapter of the Texas Sons of the American Revolution, sharing the history, symbolism, and significance of the United States flag.

Community members are invited to attend as we come together to honor this enduring symbol of our nation and those who have served under it.

City of Kyle offices will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom. Today, it is a time to honor freedom, culture, resilience and the ongoing importance of this history.

The community is invited to join the Kyle Area Senior Zone (KASZ) from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mary Kyle Hartson Park for a Juneteenth flag raising, guest speakers, music, food and more. Event details in the comments.
