Private, non-profit community based organization providing care for people with developmental disabilities for over 40 years.

Our goal is to develop and implement individualized programs that are designed to assist each person to function maximally in the least restricted and most self-directed manner. CARC provides services in the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jefferson Davis.

The Region 5 chapter meets the second Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at the CARC offices on Senator Bennett Johnston Avenue, near Chennault International Airport. Members can also join meetings virtually through Zoom.

As DSP Recognition Week comes to a close, our appreciation for our incredible DSPs continues all year long. 💙

Our Direct Support Professionals are the backbone of CARC and the heart behind so much of what we do. We loved celebrating them this week with a special luncheon, Music Bingeaux, cash prizes and, best of all, lots of laughs and smiles!
