Our Calcasieu Parish 4-H members had a great day attending the 4-H University Contest Training and Louisiana 4-H State Leadership Board Interviews at the EVAC Center! 💚🍀

These outstanding youth spent the day building confidence, sharpening their contest skills, practicing leadership, and preparing for an exciting summer at 4-H University. We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and willingness they continue to show as they grow into tomorrow’s leaders.

What a great time at Calcasieu Parish 4-H Achievement Day!🍀

Our 4-H members had the chance to get hands on and try out SO many different activities throughout the day. From learning about plants in horticulture to getting up close with real insects in entomology, there was something for everyone. Youth also got to experience Sea Grant by interacting with aquatic life and trying something new.

There was no shortage of fun either. Participants attempted our drone course, played Just Dance in the Esports area, and even built their own bird bungalows. The bounce slide was definitely a favorite in between rotations too.

One of the best parts was seeing everyone jump in, ask questions, and really get involved. Whether it was exploring, building, or getting their hands wet, there was a lot of learning happening all day.

We also got to recognize some of our 4-H members during awards, which is always a highlight.

HUGE thank you to all of our guest speakers, volunteers, and partners who helped make the day happen. We couldn’t do it without you.

So proud of our Calcasieu 4-H youth and the way they showed up, tried new things, and learned by doing.

🎉 It’s Achievement Day in Calcasieu Parish 4-H! 🎉

We are so excited to welcome our 4-H members today for a day full of learning, celebration, and fun! Achievement Day is a special opportunity for our youth to come together, learn new things, build new skills, and celebrate all of the hard work and accomplishments they’ve achieved throughout the year.

From project successes to leadership growth, community service, and personal milestones, today is all about recognizing the dedication and impact of our amazing 4-H’ers. We are so proud of each member and can’t wait to see them enjoy this well-deserved celebration!

Here’s to a great day of making memories, trying new things, and celebrating everything that makes Calcasieu Parish 4-H so special. 💚🍀

What a fantastic Contest Day for our Calcasieu 4-H members! 👏💚

We are so proud of every member who showed up, stepped out of their comfort zone, and gave it their all today. From horticulture judging and insect identification to visual arts, demonstrations, and illustrated talks—our youth showcased incredible knowledge, creativity, and confidence.

A special shoutout to those who competed in interview skills, sports broadcasting, and public speaking. These contests take courage, preparation, and strong communication skills, and you all rose to the occasion!

No matter the outcome, participating in these events builds leadership, responsibility, and life skills that will last far beyond 4-H. Keep learning, growing, and challenging yourselves—we are cheering you on every step of the way! Prizes will be given at Achievement Day and a post with announced winners will be posted here on Monday!
