🌧️ City Stormwater Reminder | Spring Mowing & April Rains

With spring mowing season underway and April rains bringing increased runoff, the City of Lake Worth reminds all residents and landscaping crews to keep grass clippings out of streets, gutters, and storm drains.

Grass clippings left in the roadway are quickly washed into the stormwater system during rain events, where they can clog storm drains, contribute to localized street flooding, and impact the quality of our creeks and waterways. Even a small amount of debris can create drainage issues when heavy spring showers move through the area.

Please help protect our stormwater system by:
• Blowing grass clippings back onto your lawn
• Sweeping or bagging excess clippings
• Keeping curbs, gutters, and storm drains free of debris

As we move through the spring season, a little extra care goes a long way in helping reduce flooding concerns and keeping our community’s drainage system operating properly. Thank you for doing your part to keep our City clean, safe, and prepared for April rain events.
