We hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful weekend. As a reminder city hall will be closed Monday, May 29th in honor of Memorial Day.
Please take the opportunity to honor military personnel who lost their lives while serving in the United States Military. The city has a wonderful Veterans Park located at 7005 Charbonneau Road. Flags to honor the fallen will be displayed through July 4th along Charbonneau Road.

City contractors are working hard to get Pueblo Trail looking brand new! The 1st phase of the project was new water and sewer lines followed up by Atmos Energy replacing old gas lines. The 2nd phase includes new curb, gutter, and drive approaches.
The 3rd and final phase is a new roadway with the help of our friends at Tarrant County Road & Bridge and Tarrant County Commissioner Manny Ramirez. Each year Precinct #4 helps Lake Worth replace major roadways throughout the city! We appreciate all their help in keeping Lake Worth great!

**Sanitary Sewer Project**
City contractors will be upgrading sanitary sewer lines starting Thursday, May 11, 2023. This project will require temporary lane and/or road closures in the following locations:
- 4100 block of Bass
- 7000 block Edgemere
- 7100 block of Malta
These closures and lane delays will be performed Monday - Friday, from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.. We anticipate the project to be complete by June 2023.

The city of Lake Worth and the Town of Lakeside hosted our first 199 City Slam Pickleball Tournament last weekend! We definitely know what the "dill" is with pickleball now!
We want to thank everyone who came out and played! It was warm, but we didn't get rained out!
A big thanks to Taylor Buddin and his wife Katie Buddin for being amazing tournament directors, Northwest Tarrant CERT for traffic control, the Lakeside Police and Public Works Department, all the volunteers, and 199 Winery for your sponsorship. We couldn't have done it without all of you!

City of Lake Worth Fire Department Lake Worth Public Works Department Fifty Fifty Food Trailer
ATMOS contractors will be working along the Azle Avenue corridor starting May 5, 2023, to replace and relocate gas lines. This project will take approximately 90 days to complete. Please follow all lane closures and detour instructions. We thank you for your patience.
Please be advised that 1 lane is closed in both directions on Azle Avenue from White Street to Canyon Trail.
City Staff have contacted the Atmos contractor to determine when the lanes will be reopened.

Have you heard; your library is going to be changing!
Our hours of operation will remain the same during the renovation:
Tuesday and Thursday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM - 6 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 1PM
You may have heard; your library is going to be changing!
An eight-month renovation project at the Mary Lou Reddick Public Library’s 13-year-old facility is expected to start at the first of April.
This renovation will impact use of the library. The construction will be in two phases, and the Library is about to enter phase one! Our current space will be closed March 27-April 1 to prepare our temporary space for public use starting on April 4.
A collection of our “most wanted” books including bestsellers and other new books, adult fiction, large print fiction, children’s picture books, easy readers, and juvenile fiction will be available for browsing and check out from the Multi-Purpose Rooms at 7005 Charbonneau. (These are the rooms located in-between the library and senior center). We will provide service from this temporary location until the renovation is complete by December of this year.
What Library services and resources will be available throughout the renovation?
• Computer use in a limited capacity.
• Full access to our electronic resources, including ebooks, audiobooks, digital magazines, and more.
•Preschool Storytime, Tail Waggin Tutors and Second Thursday Book Club will continue at their normally scheduled times. In addition, a weekly take home craft will be made available for pick-up.
•The Summer Reading Program will run from June 1 – July 29. Reading logs will be available for pickup starting on June 1st. The library will offer outdoor programs for children during this time.
•A full collection of our “most wanted” books will be available for checkout throughout the renovation. Interlibrary loan service will also be available.
Our hours of operation will remain the same during the renovation:
Tuesday and Thursday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM - 6 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 1PM
What to expect when the renovated Library reopens?
The new and improved library will feature a fully redesigned children’s area, a more user-friendly circulation desk, additional programming, study and meeting space, plus new paint, flooring and furniture, and improved lighting.

Our Public Works crews are handling a water main break in the 7400 block of Malta (corner of Malta and Wells). Please be aware of water outages in the area.
Be on the lookout for heavy trees! Public Works crews had to clear the roadway this morning on Hiawatha Trail!
Waste Connections update on trash service:
Residential Services
o Normal start times for all FRIDAY residential routes. Residents need to have trash out at 7am.
o If we did not complete Monday routes in your city those homes will be the priority.
o Starting next week Feb 6th. Expect normal routes to be run for Recycling and Trash.
Commercial Services
o Priority service will go to Apartments, Gas stations, and 6 day a week trash customer’s.
o Saturday Routes will run as normal, picking up any misses from Friday.
